Putting them to Work!

James took the kids to his work last night. His cubemate has an Oscar fish (eats other fish alive) named Death Killer Fish 2 (yes there was a #1). Little James is checking him out while big sister leaves some lovely pictures for Dad.

Biting, Slapping and general squirmy diaper changes

James Jr. is the absolute worst for diaper changes!! He kicks me constantly when I am trying to change his diaper. It takes all my strength to just to wrestle him for a diaper change. He is also slapping me (hard) when I pick him up to get in the car seat, or when he is doing something wrong and I am trying to stop him. Any suggestions on how in the heck to get him to STOP? The yelling really loud has not helped :)

Stinky Binky

A few more months and the stinky binky will be tossed. He is cutting some molars right now and this damn thing never leaves his mouth.

Hernia Scare – Boys are Great Fun!!

James Jr. has been through days and days of being sick with an upset stomach. When the pediatrician was doing his examination…he noticed what he thought was an inguinal hernia. Monday we had to meet up with the specialist at Primary Children’s Hospital to get the surgery consultation. It turns out that he has a “Wiggly Testicle”!! (Leave it to the baby surgeon to use such technical terms) We are on “Testicle Watch” to see if the next time the weird lump appears in the groin area if is “wiggly testicle” has wiggled back up the channel in which it descended from. GREAT!! Boys are so much fun…maybe I will put Dad in charge of the “Testicle Watch”…seeing as he has a pair for comparison.

Katie has these new flash cards to help her with reading small words. Today she started this really fun game in the car of making up clues and I have to guess what is on the card. I don't need so many questions in the morning....

School Lunch-Yummy

At Katie's Kindergarten class, they had the wonderful experience of trying out School Lunch!! These wonderful teachers are trying to give the kids a taste of what it will be like in the 1st Grade. Katie asked Dad to join her for their lunchtime extraviganza (lucky me). A few other Mom's showed up but only one Dad.
