Halloween 2009

Halloween has come and gone (whew). Another year down, not quite as dramatic as last year. Katie was sick from Friday on, but went trick or treating anyway (only to come home and puke later). Jr hated his costume up until the day of Halloween and then he was in full character. He called all his candy "treaters". He totally liked the spooky houses in Roxanne's neighborhood and was quick to catch on to Trick or Treating. I, unfortunately, have had to eat most of his candy while he sleeps as to keep the sugar high to a minimum.

Well after much procrastination and whining (mostly on my part), I finally was able to get some pictures done of my kids. Katie's first year was well documented every 3 months like clockwork. Jr. on the other hand, I have 6 weeks, 6 months and then....nothing more than snapshots. I was trying to schedule a day with Jane Basinger (cjaneshoot.com) who Maryann used for pictures of her boys. We finally were able to get her scheduled for Saturday with my niece and nephew. Friday evening, my nephew bit the dust on a walk with my mom and ruined his face.

Saturday afternoon we met up with Jane and she took a bunch of pictures (will post once I get). Jr. was being a total turd the entire time so it will interesting to see if any of them turn out with a smile.

First Day of 2nd Grade

Katie started school today, 2nd Grade!! She has not been sleeping well the past several days, I am sure due to the first day gitters more than anything. Jr. and I walked her to her door to line up with all the other 2nd graders this morning.

Viva la Vida - The Gorge, Washington

We just got back from our trip to The Gorge, Washington to see Coldplay. It is really one of the most beautiful places to see a concert. Here are some photos of the scenery and the show.

Jr. Surgery #3

Well 3 surgeries before the age of 3!! We survived one more surgery with little James. Jr. had his tonsils and adenoids removed on Tuesday. He is getting to be a pro at the routine at Primary Children's Hospital now. All went well except for the hour long wait at the pharmacy for the antibiotics and pain medicine. He was eating and drinking the same day as if nothing had happened. He has been eating Popsicles like they are going out of style....I will be really glad when the are all gone.

Little Brother's are so much fun

Katie is always looking for someone to dance with. Jr. likes to every once in a while, but today he wanted to wear the dance skirt to dance with her. He was shaking his booty and swishing the skirt to the music.

Ride that Duck!!

I am not really sure why my crazy son feels the need to ride the resin ducks at my mother's house....but he really had fun. He even managed to get Katie and Grandpa to take a turn on old mother duck. Yeee hawwww!!!

Great way to deal with a wet diaper

James' buddy Joel was over the other night and Jr. would not leave his side. He was trying to get into the dryer and kept telling Joel it was "stuck". Joel followed Jr. downstairs trying to interpret what he wanted. Uncle Joel un "stuck" the dryer for him.....thanks a lot. Safety first at the Wadsworth house!!

April Fools!!

Man o man...I think that we definately outdid ourselves this year. Last night I stayed late to close the books, and to get some people around here for April fools day. I made several flavors of Jell-o and put all of the new sales guys office stuff in it (yummy).

Jasmina's desk was covered in snow (and I mean covered) and some silly photos placed all over the office.

My desk was completely cleaned off and a manequin was humping my desk.

New projects

Toni is coming tonight to get the bug jar quilt pattern and material. It was a miracle my mom found it as easily as she did. I finished a dress for myself....but Toni was laughing so hard when I tried it on....I don't think I will post any pictures (at least not with me in it).

I am halfway finished with lil James quite book, I am sure he will be 4 by the time I really get it completed. Both my mother and grandmother gave me new scissors for my b-day so I am sure I will be cutting out a lot of new projects soon.

Toni and I have still been getting together every (almost) Monday night to sew or just hang out if anyone is interested in joining you are more than welcome.

Happy Freakin' Wednesday!!

I was fooled into thinking today would be a good day. Both kids slept all night in their OWN beds (a freaking miracle). But that was about the high so far!! I went downstairs after my shower (that did not include my 2 year old this morning, yippee) to iron my shirt. I was finishing up the last sleeve when I noticed some stain that did not come out in the wash on the sleeve (you know the LAST piece I was doing). Had to start over on another shirt (I hate to iron). Moving on to finish getting dressed and find a necklace. I found the one that I wanted (again yippee) only to find it tangled with every piece of jewelry imaginable (and some I did not even know I had) Great....................so after 5 minutes of trying to be calm and get it untangled...I just pulled really hard on the last few necklaces to get it free (never liked those ones anyway).

Katie was badgering me the whole time with some silly handout James and I got when we went to the Shark Reef in Vegas. "what is this fish?", "Is this a Shark?", "What is that?", "Where do these live?", "Is this a Jelly fish?", "Whey do they call them Jelly Fish?".....Seriously the cops should use her to interrogate suspects...I will admit to any crime in the world just to get her to STOP asking questions!!! Then Jr. comes in with a yogurt (where in the hell that came from?) and was desperately trying to get the lid off to eat it (already 10 minutes late at this point). I am screaming like an enraged orangutan at him to "Put the yogurt down" as I can vision in my head the unbelievable mess that will ensue if he does manage to get the lid off.

I grab him under one arm and the yogurt in the other hand and haul off out the door. I set him down by the car door to open it and.....he takes off running ( I swear this kid runs like Dash from the Incredibles) I drop everything (purse, keys, diaper bag, yogurt, coat) and take off after him. Nothing gets you going in the morning like sprinting across the lawn in heels after a 2 year old.

Late again to get Katie to school, but rest assured I received the speech the ENTIRE way "It's okay Mom, I don't blame you for making me late. I am used to it now!"

Nothing like a shot of adrenaline with a side of GUILT for breakfast......should have stayed in bed!

Happy Wednesday!

It is amazing how horrible sisters can be!!! I flash back to all the rotten things that my older brother did to me....it is a miracle that I still talk to him. Katie is on this new kick to make it her daily mission in life to torment and tease Jr. to no end. The other day Jr. had a little black ant crawling on him, he was checking it out, not scared....until Katie came along and FREAKED out yelling "SPIDER...SPIDER...SPIDER" Of course her yelling and carrying on like an enraged orangutan really helped matters with the 2 year old. He would not sleep by himself or get down on the floor for a week.

She did the same thing in the bathtub with him the other day and ,of course, scared the pee right out of him. It has taken me days to get him to go near the tub. I had to shower with him, constantly holding him off the tub floor. Thanks Katie...gotta love sisters.

Viva la Vida-Third Time!

Just scored tickets to see Coldplay in July! The Gorge Ampitheatre in Washington...sweet. Overlooking the Columbia River gorge...outdoor concert, Chris Martin, no kids....what could be better. VIVA LA VIDA
